For Christmas this year I only bought 2 gifts that weren't handmade or personalized. The other two that I bought were gifts from shutterfly.com. I made a Bubby Book for my Nana (idea from the Boo Book). By the way, if you don't know who Boo is, your life is horrible and empty.
Trust me. Your life will be better with Boo in it!
Sorry, back to the blog. The other Shutterfly gift was a collage poster of Miss Susie Q for my Daddy. I also gifted a few redneck wine glasses and, I must be getting faster at knitting because I made 5 scarves for Christmas...FIVE!!!!!
Thanks to ravelry.com I got all the patterns for free :). Here's the ones I made with links to the patterns.
This one was for my younger cousin Carrington. She plays basketball and softball so I wanted to make her one in her school colors.
This one was for my Aunt Sonya.
This one is another drop stitch scarf that I made for my Nana.
This one is my own creation. Probably should've written down exactly what I did so I could give you guys the pattern. Beginner crafter/blogger mistake :(. But, I used worsted weight yarn with size10 1/2 circular needles and it's all garter stitch. Really you can use any color combination you want. I know a lot of people use this method for a "yarn buster" project. I made it for my other younger cousin Channing (Carrington's sister). She's a girly girl so I figured she'd like the pink and green :).
I made this one for my Aunt Kelly. It's BOA YARN!!!! A new favorite of mine :). Her favorite color is purple. It's just all knit stitch on size 6 needles.
Now that I have my craft room all setup and ready to go I'll be getting some more scarves together and putting them in my Etsy shop. Keep a look out!
