Knitting To Do List:

I'm at work on my lunch break right now. Normally, I would be knitting, working on a project, but, I left my knitting at home by accident :(. So, I decided I'd make a post about all my knitting projects I need to get done over the course of the year. Maybe by New Years haha. Once I have time, I'll take pictures :).

Here it is, my Knitting To Do List:

1. Jon's VMI blanket (hopefully I'll have that done by the end of the week!)
2. A secret gift for my cousin for graduating from college
3. 170 Comfort Dolls for kids in Africa. I have to get these done by mid June so my friend can take them with her. They're so fun to make! Our knitting club at VMI has made a ton of them for the kids in Haiti and they absolutely love them. If anyone wants the pattern and a place they can send them here it is:

4. A secret present for one of my best friends who just graduated from college :).
5. A lap blanket that I've started for a disabled Veteran (I also plan on making for of those). I'm making it with camo yarn. I lovvvve the camo yarn!!!
6. A shawl for an elderly woman I know that doesn't get many visitors.
7. A purse that I hope to raffle off for Relay for Life. That is, assuming I do a good job on it and people actually want to pay to win it :P.
8. A purse made out of raffia ribbon! I'm excited about this one.
9. A shawl as a Christmas gift (never too early to start)
10. A capelet that I started working on this past March or so.

There's my list goal! I'm really, truly hoping to get it done. Fingers crossed!!!! I'll keep everyone updated as I go : ).

I'm Terrible

Hello again Blog World!!! I know, I have been extremely terrible about my posts lately. Life's been very busy in Ashley D's World, though. I've been busting my butt trying to get some major knitting projects done! So far, I'm already late with one, and trying very hard not to be late with another! Most of them are graduation gifts. A lot of people in my life are graduating from college right now. A few of my best friends, my cousin (who's more like a sister), my boyfriend. It's been very chaotic! I'll post some pictures of said gifts once I'm finished :). I don't want to ruin the surprise though!

Anyways, I guess I could add some personal touches to my blog. Since I don't have an about me section yet, I'll tell you on here. I work at VMI (Virginia Military Institute for those who are unfamiliar with it). It's a very small military college. Only about 1500 kids, if that. It's also very prestigious. I work in the IT Department there. My job is to take care of the multimedia classrooms: projectors, switchers, Crestron controllers, touch screen monitors. It can be kind of stressful, but, all in all, it's pretty fun to play with. Anyways, my boyfriend is a student at VMI. And, I know, it sounds scandalous, but it's really not. I'm only 23 years old and he's only 3 months younger than me. Anyways, he will be graduating next Monday and leaving for South Carolina for his first duty station with the NAVY. I'm really proud of him, but, it's upsetting at the same time. We've been dating now for over 3 years and most of our relationship, he's been so close to me and now he has to move :(. The long distance is going to be hard, but, it's worth it, because I love him very, very much. Anyways, with that being said, here's a treasury for this week :). It's all VMI and NAVY in honor of the boy<3. I know, it's not Tuesday, but, I figure I may as well go ahead and post it, in case I get busy and forget! Also, Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!!!
